Each island is shown in a separate panel: Hawaii (The Big Island) with an enlargement for the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Oahu with a street plan of the Waikiki area of Honolulu, plus the islands of Maui, Molokai, Kauai and Lanai.

The map presents Hawaii (The Big Island) at1:330,000, with the remaining islands at 1:150,000. Each island's road network is shown on a base with topography indicated by relief shading with names of mountain ranges and peaks plus additional spot heights.

Hawaii dates of various lava flows are also marked. National parks or protected areas and numerous other places of interest are prominently highlighted. Each panel has latitude and longitude margin ticks at intervals of 30' and is not indexed. Map legend includes English.

The enlargement for the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park at 1:125,000 shows lava flows and trekking routes to the peak and the caldera. The street plan of the Waikiki area of Honolulu indicates locations of selected hotels, shopping centres, etc.
